چکیده

In recent years, several new methods for the identiica-tion of approximate models of an open loop plant on the basis of closed loop data have been presented. In this paper, we extend such a method to the nonlinear case: we consider that both the plant and the controller can be nonlinear. The method that is considered is a two-step procedure, i.e. the sensitivity function of the closed loop system is identiied through a high order nonlinear model and it is used in the second step to simulate a noise free input signal for an open loop like identiication of the plant. We assume that the closed loop operators are smooth functions of both the reference signal and the disturbance signal and that the measurement noise enters the system under a high SNR assumption. We show that under these assumptions, the linear ideas of 9] carry over to a nonlinear framework. The validity of the theoretical results is veriied using simulations.

A Modified Forward - Backward Splitting Methodfor Maximal Monotone

We consider the forward-backward splitting method for nding a zero of the sum of two maximal monotone mappings. This method is known to converge when the inverse of the forward mapping is strongly monotone. We propose a modiication to this method, in the spirit of the extragradient method for monotone variational inequalities, under which the method converges assuming only the forward mapping i...

Analysis of a Cell { Vertex Finite Volume Methodfor Convection { Diffusion Problemsk

A cell vertex nite volume approximation of elliptic convection-dominated diiusion equations is considered in two dimensions. The scheme is shown to be stable and second-order convergent in a mesh-dependent L 2-norm.

A Visualization Method for Knowledge Represented by General Logic Programs

In this paper; we describe a visualization methodfor general logic clauses as the first step of a visualization of logic programs. Since we think inclusion is essential to represent an outline of knowledge, we propose a method based on Euler diagrams to visualize in$rence rules represented as a set of general logic clauses which consist of literals with no variable. We develop a prototype syste...
